With reverberate®, you can easily design the geometry of your room using an intuitive interface. Simply input the room’s dimensions and select the necessary requirements from the DIN 18041 or ARS A3.7 Standard.

Customize your room’s acoustics

Every surface within the room can be subdivided and covered with absorbing materials. Choose from our extensive database of acoustically effective materials or input your own values. Additionally, you can adjust the scattering properties of the surfaces and add furniture and people to the room.

Accurate reverberation time calculation

Based on your inputs, reverberate® precisely calculates the reverberation time within the room. The result is displayed alongside the required range specified in the chosen standard.

Iterative optimization

If the calculated reverberation time falls outside the desired range, you can iteratively optimize the room’s acoustics until the requirements are met.

Scientifically validated results

reverberate® utilizes a cutting-edge, scientifically validated calculation model, that ensures that the room acoustic planning in reverberation corresponds to the performance of the actual room. This safeguards the planning against longer reverberation times in the completed room.

The science behind reverberate®

Unlike other software solutions that mostly use the simple reverberation time calculation according to Sabine, reverberate® takes the absorption distribution and scattering coefficients of the surfaces in the room into account.

For this purpose, the sound field is divided into three spatial directions and the diffuse field. Frequency dependent decay curves are calculated for all subsystems and summed, taking into account the acoustic properties of all surfaces. The reverberation times calculated from this approach is much more reliable and realistic, a complex simulation is therefore not required.

All calculation methods behind reverberate® were developed in extensive scientific studies and validated by measurements. We have published the theory behind reverberate® as a peer-reviewed paper in Applied Acoustics. With reverberate®, we are now making this innovative calculation method usable. Of course, reverberate® also offers the calculation of the reverberation time according to Sabine for comparison.
